High Potential Chatting :)

Hey there beautiful buddies, hope you had some wickedly funny time the last few days. Me? Well I promised myself to continue re-writing some scene from my screenplay. And got on with achieving new and better things.

In fact, just a few days ago, I've had the privilege of having a cup of coffee with a great mind here locally. This lad is really a rock where life-changing aspects need to come into place. We've had a very interesting chat about 'Where you're headed' and the things that flowed where simply astonishing.

Ken Attard and I met around 6 years ago during a marketing venture. The guy immediately struck a chord with me and am really happy for he's doing the thing he's always dreamed of doing. Now an official Master NLP Practitioner and a Life Coach, has a mantra that truly captivates whoever he stumbles upon: "People's Potential is my Passion".

This is definitely not the right place to share the wealth of wisdom I was exposed to. As I learned a vital lesson from Ken: "You never force anything on anyone. If they want help, they ask for it, then you step in and help".

So many times we fall pray to 'Wanting To Help People Syndrome' that we lose sight of the 'needs' of the person in front of us.

I'm totally grateful for Ken's time and it only comes naturally to share his contact for those of you who feel they can BE, DO and HAVE whatever they really want in their life.

It has never been a matter of 'I can't', but rather 'Wouldn't It Be Cool If..'.

If you're always meditating on the following: "I'm ready for some changes. I want to see different results and feel great."

Discover how ..

WHY TEAMWORK WORKS

Hey all you beautiful people,

Hope you had some wicked fun coming up with all sort of great ideas for your screenplay.

You see, I've been coming across many people who simply want to share their suggestions and tips on how to improve my life. I thought to myself that this had to be shared with you all.

One major thing which keeps on getting people to struggle constantly in their life endeavors would have to be 'LACK OF TEAMWORK'. And this goes deep into our own psyche as individuals who have been inundated with - 'Don't trust no-one!' attitude. As many of you would know, whatever your field, whatever your hobby or profession, you ain't goin' nowhere if you ain't getting a team set-up.

A few days ago, a very dear friend of mine, came up with this idea of: "Why don't people work together instead of trying to break each other?"

Hm.. now that really intrigued me quite a bit. As we kept on discussing the above, I suggested he come up with some sort of solution for this seemingly terrifying problem: and you won't guess his response!

"It's obvious really. People should trust in each other and achieve whatever it is they need, quicker and they create more". Now this was the same guy who put all his attention on the problem first, then upon being asked for his views he immediately came up with quite an obvious solution: TRUST.

So I ask myself: "Why aren't people trusting each other enough and really achieve great things?"
  • Perhaps some individuals are in it for personal gains?
  • Perhaps some individuals were victimized in previous TEAM-ORIENTED projects?
  • Perhaps some individuals are afraid of sharing their ideas with others?
  • Perhaps some individuals have inner self-doubt and fear rejection?
In truth the list goes on and on, but the solution never lies in the collective. In my views, each individual has an infinite possibility to achieve greatness, but it's not wise to WAIT for the perfect TEAM WORK ambient to be allowed to shine. Each individual is an integral part which when woven together nicely will fit into a perfect machine. The machine itself ain't perfect if its individual parts aren't.

We're all individual parts. Our little 'perfectness' will form part of the perfect machine. If there's friction with some parts, the machine will never work its full potential.

Do you want to be the PERFECT part?

Well, you already are.

Just go and find your place.. and the machine will produce perfect results.

Cheers you all..

Are You Getting It?

Hey there my awesome friends,

Hope you're all doing great and really locked and focused on your projects and writings for this week.

I guess today is another great day for sharing an absolutely mind-blowing post by a success coach: Bruce Muzik. You can actually follow this link to his page. He's a cool guy.

So here is today's post .. Am sure you'll recognize a few fellows in the post :)

Abraham Lincoln
As a young man, Abraham Lincoln went to war a captain and returned a private. Later, he failed as a businessman. As a lawyer in Springfield, he was too impractical and temperamental to find success.
He turned to politics and was defeated in his first try for the legislature, again defeated in his first attempt to be nominated for congress, defeated in his application to be commissioner of the General Land Office, defeated in the senatorial election of 1854, defeated in his efforts for the vice-presidency in 1856, and defeated in the senatorial election of 1858.

He later became the 16th President of the United States of America.

Winston Churchill

Winston Churchill failed sixth grade. He was subsequently defeated in every election for public office until he became Prime Minister at the age of 62. He later wrote, “Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never -in nothing, great or small, large or petty – never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never, Never, Never, Never give up.”

Sigmund Freud was booed from the podium when he first presented his ideas to the scientific community of Europe. He returned to his office and kept on writing.

Charles Darwin
Charles Darwin gave up a medical career and was told by his father, “You care for nothing but shooting, dogs and rat catching.” In his autobiography, Darwin wrote, “I was considered by all my masters and my father, a very ordinary boy, rather below the common standard of intellect.”

Clearly, he evolved.

Albert Einstein did not speak until he was 4-years-old and did not read until he was 7. His parents thought he was “sub-normal,” and one of his teachers described him as “mentally slow, unsociable, and adrift forever in foolish dreams.”
He was expelled from school and was refused admittance to the Zurich Polytechnic School.

He did eventually learn to speak and read. Even to do a little math.

Thomas Edison’s teachers said he was “too stupid to learn anything.”
He was fired from his first two jobs for being “non-productive.”
As an inventor, Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb.
When a reporter asked, “How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?” Edison replied,
“I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps.”

Henry Ford could not read nor write, failed and went broke five times in business before he succeeded.

When Bell telephone was struggling to get started, its owners offered all their rights to Western Union for $100,000. The offer was disdainfully rejected with the pronouncement, “What use could this company make of an electrical toy.” How many of you have a telephone today?

After Carl Lewis won the gold medal for the long jump in the 1996 Olympic games, he was asked to what he attributed his longevity, having competed for almost 20 years. He said, “Remembering that you have both wins and losses along the way. I don’t take either one too seriously.”

Walt Disney
Walt Disney was fired by a newspaper editor because “he lacked imagination and had no good ideas.” He went bankrupt several times before he built Disneyland. In fact, the proposed park was rejected by the city of Anaheim on the grounds that it would only attract riffraff.

After Fred Astaire’s first screen test, the memo from the testing director of MGM, dated 1933, read, “Can’t act. Can’t sing. Slightly bald. Can dance a little.” He kept that memo over the fire place in his Beverly Hills home. Astaire once observed that “when you’re experimenting, you have to try so many things before you choose what you want, that you may go days getting nothing but exhaustion.” And here is the reward for perseverance: “The higher up you go, the more mistakes you are allowed. Right at the top, if you make enough of them, it’s considered to be your style.”

After his first audition, Sidney Poitier was told by the casting director, “Why don’t you stop wasting people’s time and go out and become a dishwasher or something?” It was at that moment, recalls Poitier, that he decided to devote his life to acting.

When Lucille Ball began studying to be actress in 1927, she was told by the head instructor of the John Murray Anderson Drama School, “Try any other profession.”

The first time Jerry Seinfeld walked on-stage at a comedy club as a professional comic, he looked out at the audience, froze, and forgot the English language. He stumbled through “a minute-and a half” of material and was jeered offstage. He returned the following night and closed his set to wild applause.

Harrison Ford
After Harrison Ford’s first performance as a hotel bellhop in the film Dead Heat on a Merry-Go-Round, the studio vice-president called him in to his office. “Sit down kid,” the studio head said, “I want to tell you a story. The first time Tony Curtis was ever in a movie he delivered a bag of groceries. We took one look at him and knew he was a movie star.” Ford replied, “I thought you were supposed to think that he was a grocery delivery boy.” The vice president dismissed Ford with “You ain’t got it kid , you ain’t got it … now get out of here.”

Michael Caine’s headmaster told him, “You will be a laborer all your life.”

Charlie Chaplin was initially rejected by Hollywood studio chiefs because his pantomime was considered “nonsense.”

Decca Records turned down a recording contract with The Beatles with the evaluation, “We don’t like their sound. Groups of guitars are on their way out.” After Decca rejected the Beatles, Columbia records followed suit.

Beethoven handled the violin awkwardly and preferred playing his own compositions instead of improving his technique. His teacher called him “hopeless as a composer.” And, of course, you know that he wrote five of his greatest symphonies while completely deaf.

Van Gogh sold only one painting during his life. And this, to the sister of one of his friends, for 400 francs (approximately $50). This didn’t stop him from completing over 800 paintings.

27 publishers rejected Dr. Seuss’s first book, To Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street.

Woody Allen: “I don’t want to achieve immortality through my work. I want to achieve it through not dying. Eighty percent of success is showing up.”

Is there a message here? I think so…

Never give up…

Cheers..

Hand-in-Hand

Hey guys,

Here we are with today's MASTERMIND session in writing some of the most exhilarating scenes for your screenplay.

I know that sometimes you feel you don't actually need any HELP or advice with your 'work'. But let me be quite frank with you here: that's WHY we FAIL.

'No Man Is An Island' goes the old saying. You can't be, stay or live by yourself for ever. It's time you take the pride bug out the window and start attracting your real potential here, right now.

If anyone of you guys have an issue in trusting, than you have some additional work to do prior to start attracting your MASTERMIND brainstorming team.

A little faith goes a long way
HAVE FAITH

If you take for instance many of History's mentors or leaders you'd learn that all of the accomplished their great deeds by being able to delegate and work in a team.

The importance of having a coach or a mentor is to be in a position of give-and-take. You learn how to see the whole world differently whilst at the same time letting in NEW advice and new ways of thinking.

Sometimes we think we're actually thinking. Our brains have a myriad of things to get done every single second. That's not thinking at all. That's your brains being full-on busy. You hear it all the time: "Am so busy I can't THINK straight".

In today's post I simply wanted you to get this straight.

Learn to trust and you'll start attracting into your screenplay life those scenes which usually make it into blockbuster material.

Cheers..

Entertainment FIX

Hey my best buddies,

Hope you're doing great with your writing so far.

You know, there's something really special I'd like to share with you all today. And whilst having decided to actually write about it, something even more special happened to me lately.

I turned off TV and RADIO!

"What did you turn OFF?!" - I hear you say .. :) Yes totally correct. You read that right!

Serenity Encapsulated :)
And now I feel REALLY SERENE.

Let me explain one thing though, as am more than sure that the above sounded like heresy to some of you.

- THE SHIFT IN THINKING

You see, my best buddies, what would you rather invest in -

BAD NEWS, found all over the place

Or

    GOOD NEWS, found within

It's rather a simple concept isn't it? However it's not easy. At least not that easy FOR SOME. For those stubborn enough to really can't see themselves without the constant wave of negative stuff inundating their everyday life.

It's what I call - 'My Own Tragic Screenplay of Someone Else's Life'.

Do you get it now? Or are you still trying to save the world by being AWARE, present and involved in all of the world's bad situations to the minute? Do you even care really? Does it make any difference to you when you watch awful footage of the dire life conditions which has stricken African children, or simply watching an epic movie like 2012 whilst you enjoy your hot cocoa?

In my humble view it's a simple crave, and a very ugly one at that.

Some of us can't and won't discern the difference between fiction and horrible things happening to others. All we're after is an 'ENTERTAINMENT-FIX'. We want to see people burn, starve, drown, get shot, mutilate and what not. And if all this could could be done just in time for our favorite soap or footie game all the better.

THINK what you want to influence your brain with. I've learned from somewhere that your brain will automatically function independently to your awareness. Of course unless you feed it the RIGHT stuff,it will go on auto pilot and flash all sorts of bad stuff all day long.

The right stuff is everywhere around you. Could be the eyes you have to be able to read this. Could be the running water you showered in this morning. Could actually simply be your entire life. Your Screenplay Life awaits some new brainstorming sessions...

BTW - as regards the first 'SPECIAL' thing I wanted to write to you about when I started this post... I will write all about it next time :)

Until then...

When A Child Is Born

My beauties at San Anton Park - Balzan - Malta

Hey there my fantastic Screenplay friends,

This post has been in the making for quite some time really, as I felt it I was due sharing something REALLY important. Something that I keep to heart and that truly defines my purpose in life.

I am a daddy! I AM A DADDY!!

When I stop for just a second and start really thinking about this huge fact my feet start to crumble and I get all sweaty and try to drift my mind elsewhere ... But then it happens.

I calm down. My breath eases with a subtle flow. I close my eyes for an instant and open them quickly again.

I see Alex resting on my shoulder breathing slowly .. slowly. Steadily, if you will, in his own baby pace. An incredible, peaceful pace at that. Now he opens his blue eyes and wanders about, to the ceiling first, then to my left shoulder, rubbing his little nose against my chest. Still though, very sleepy. His head, very heavy indeed. Then locks his stare on my eyes, he's thinking: "Gee' .. Who is this..?" I, then, produce the nicest smile I've only been practicing since I learned how to enjoy breathing, and then there it was. Instantly. His reaction: sublime. He sighs! Which in my humble and so far so short experience as a daddy, has to be the nicest sound on Planet Earth. Second only to his giggles.. and when he does his baby talk.. and perhaps when he burps.. or maybe not that one.. but anyway.

This happens every day. More often than not, many times a day. I only wish to spend more time with Alex. But you know it's a little difficult right now. And to be SUPER honest, moments like the one described right above, wouldn't be possible without the glorious work my wife does with Alex. It's like she's been a mother since FOREVER!

When my wife, the most amazing girl I've known for more than a decade, told me that she was expecting a child, I couldn't describe how I felt until the day came where we had to tell my in-laws about the sweet news.

It was all really hush-hush and both Ann and I tried hard not to spoil the surprise. We unleashed the HAPPY bomb over a BBQ lunch in our garden. Tears were felt down my cheeks. Than I was SURE this was to be a great adventure for us. An adventure, where you become the main MASTER-MIND, and even the sole protector to your off-spring.

The scene has been set. I was to become a DADDY to a blond-ball baby. It was on January 1st at about 15:20 ... My wife, Ann was my personal hero. The physical excruciating pain she went through is otherworldly. But there she was, albeit for just a few moments, holding Alex, in his birth costume, all not very rosy. But she made it.

Another miracle in today’s wicked living. Thank You God.

When a child is born.. Something in you is born anew as well.

When you're born anew, something in you triggers and all your Screenplay does is to follow your bliss.

Thank you for reading..

PS: someday I'll tell you about the first time I did the nappy change. But that's not important right now ;)

Labels

Hi there amazing friends,

What do you guys make of ‘LABELS’? How do they affect you in your daily life? We’re not talking of clothes’ labels of course (like the one right above lol). Not the ones where you get a kick looking for a cheaper price either, maybe to get your hands on that awesome swimsuit now that summer is right behind the corner. Now that I just mentioned summer, I suppose that many of you are super looking forward to some wicked fun at the beach with your fantastic friends and magnificent families. Will you get INTO your swimsuit?

Oh my gosh … sorry about that. My mind drifted elsewhere

Right – LABELS. Gossip. Anyways...This is today’s topic. Of which I’m more than sure that many screenplays out there are inundated with such scenes. Some so much so that the scenes grow ever tiring and the story gets highly predictable and boring.

Many times we fall prey to the seemingly insurmountable temptation to GOSSIP about people. It’s definitely not something good. And your screenplay needs a thorough clean up if you have too many of such scenes.
I get really irritated by these labels especially when you go on a shopping spree and you’re looking to get yourself an awesome shirt, and whilst you try it on you realize that the shop attendant left the labels at the back of the collar of the shirt you're trying on. My oh my … how irritating is that!

But how I wish … how I wish life’s labels were only that kind. If that were to be, I wouldn’t be here scribing this post. So let me carry on with this ... :)

I believe that each and every one of us has somehow been affected by labeling or gossip. Being a ‘victim’ of such dastardly behavior can leave a lasting affect which needs repairing at once. This of course only happens to whoever pays attention to such unfounded and destructive comments. Like with The Scarlet Letter or Easy A.

You wrote yourself IN, and you write yourself OUT of such situations. It’s your call. The more you focus on them, the bigger, larger, more uncontainable they become.

A short while ago I also was attached with various labels. Some of which were worn with pride by the undersigned!  Yea I remember those insignificant moments when you discover that some ‘people’ are saying things about you, writing scenes for you! And I used to fall for their provocations and also believe their wrongdoings. I was fueling these scenes with all of my passion, and made these labels my own. I needed to write myself out of such scenes. The plot was getting ugly, very ugly indeed.

Today, luckily for my being, I’ve been blessed with wonderful people around me who help me do the proper brainstorming and write MY screenplay life. My MASTERMIND team is always pushing me forward, and there’s never a single day that goes by that my progress is not given some tweaks. But it takes MY WILL and MY ACTION to do the actual re-writes. These wonderful people can only direct me towards the IDEAL scenes. The final decision falls exclusively unto me.

The labels are all gone now. Not simply moved under the collar, but totally thorn out. Non-Existing. It feels wonderful. I wish you to experience such feeling. And I’m sure you will.

But there’s been another idea brewing inside my subconscious mind for some time now.
Just imagine for an instance, that since we’re in total control of our screenplay, and we’re also considered to be CREATIVE beings, why not put positive labels on each other?! If you truly believe that your screenplay has to have labels in some scenes, wouldn’t you rather choose the ones you wear? Not just for yourself, but also for your co-stars?

Example:
  •                Instead of LIAR  – we put TRUTH-TELLER
  •                Instead of DON’T TRUST THEM - we put TRUSTWORTHY
  •                Instead of GAY - we put A BUNCH OF ENERGY & JOY

There’s many more to add am sure, but I’ll leave you guys to share your views on the above.

Whilst choosing today’s topic for this post I was thinking, REAL thinking, to avoid putting on a ‘WAR-AGAINST-LABELING’ style of arguing. I simply reversed the whole thing over its dead head. Use labeling to our benefit. All the time. No compromise.

There’s too much focus out there on warring against all bad things, we’re simply forgetting one major rule: Think the opposite and put all your energy in that.
How would you eliminate darkness for instance? Surely not by talking bad about DARKNESS, and what DARKNESS brings to people.

Turning on the light would actually help more, and the darkness disappears. BANG!

A simple exercise I found really helpful as far as new labeling goes, is that during my daily commute, with whoever I meet, I give them my own labels. Always keeping in mind that whatever I wish to others will come unto me!

Pay careful attention to whatever labels you choose to give out :)

The 'Positive Labeling Campaign' has officially begun.
